Mr. Methot - 7M

Fort Building for STEM!

Students in 6/7 FI had a chance to work in groups to build forts/shelters in the woods as part of their STEM exploratory class. Their forts were meant to be able to have enough room for all of their group members to fit inside and to also be able to have a roof to keep the water out. Bien fait les élèves!!

Reminders for 7M

  • Please pay your student fee as soon as possible if not already paid. It is $40 for one family member or $60 (family rate) if your child has any siblings at the school as well.
  • There is a school dance tomorrow evening (Thursday) from 6:00 – 8:00. It is a $5 admission cost and there will be a canteen available for snacks and drinks. The student fee must be paid to be able to attend.
  • Our annual Terry Fox Walk will be tomorrow afternoon!
  • Students are encouraged to bring in any monetary donations for our Terry Fox fundraiser. Every little bit helps!
  • Students are also encouraged to bring in any non-perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank. Once again, every little bit helps!
  • We will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day on Monday at school, so don’t forget to wear your orange t-shirt!
  • Physical education classes will always be on Day 1 and Day 5.

Welcome Back Raiders! 🙂

Hi everyone and welcome back to the start of another school year! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break and that we are feeling ready and recharged to get back to learning!

I will be using this page to post any important information, updates, reminders, or homework that arises throughout the year for the classes I teach (7M, 6/7 FI, 7/8M, as well as 6H and 8P for a temporary STEM exploratory block). Please be sure to be checking here on my teacher page to stay informed and up to date.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday. Let’s make this school year one to remember! 🙂
